1 BUY MY DRESS SALE: Fashion lovers from around the county will be flocking to the Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey this Saturday night, October 8, for the Buy My Dress sale in aid of the Down Syndrome Centre. The fundraiser which has the support of Lorraine Keane offers women from across Wexford the opportunity to bag a designer dress at a bargain price. Organised by Carolyn Dowdall, Sinead Brogan and Susan Longmore the annual fundraiser has been a big hit in Gorey for the past six years raising vital funds for the Down Syndrome Centre which support over 180 children with Down Syndrome and their families without the benefit of state aid. From 11 a.m. on Saturday until 5 p.m. there will be a wide ranging of designer and top quality pre-loved dresses on sale giving women the chance pick up a very special dress for a knock down price. If you have a dress to donate you can bring it along on the day as well. Several well known fashion icons including Amy Huberman and Wexford's own Charlie Murphy have also donated dresses to the cause. To donate a dress contact Carolyn at 087 6172362.
