Candidates discuss arty issues

WIth election season looming, members of the local community are sure to have pressing questions about the future development of the arts in Wexford.

Election 2016: For Arts Sake! will give them an opportunity to get some answers. This unique event in Wexford Arts Centre will invite local election candidates to discuss their views and policies around the arts. Members of the audience will get the chance to ask questions about the future of arts in Wexford and nationwide.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m., will be chaired by Jo Mangan, Chair of NCFA, Artistic Director and CEO of Performance Corporation. Places are free but as seating is limited, booking is advisable.

A night of cookery and comedy 

7 COMEDY AND COOKERY. Monaseed National School parents' association will host a fun evening of comedy and cooking in the Amber Springs Hotel on Wednesday night, February 8. On the night three local chefs, Eric Poole, Veronica Redmond and Ben Anderson, will take part in a cook off ably assisted by some local celebrities.
