FOULKSMILLS DUCK RACE On Wednesday evening, Foulksmills will mark 30 years of its quirky duck racing festival, which is great fun for all the family. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and this year's attractions include: a dog show, pongo, golf chipping and putting, milking daisy the cow, river boat rides, fishing for bottles, duck bowles, chuck-a-duck, horse racing, win a cake, river balls, kids' bouncing castle, obstacle course and much more. The Sweepstakes Duck Race is the main event each year and there will be commentary from the riverside of the River Corach, followed by the human river race. Participants are asked to bring spare clothes.

A night of cookery and comedy 

7 COMEDY AND COOKERY. Monaseed National School parents' association will host a fun evening of comedy and cooking in the Amber Springs Hotel on Wednesday night, February 8. On the night three local chefs, Eric Poole, Veronica Redmond and Ben Anderson, will take part in a cook off ably assisted by some local celebrities.
