Gala local premiere of Roche's 'Eclipse' film

WEXFORD Arts Centre rolled out the red carpet last weekend for the local premiere of a film based on a Billy Roche short story.

' The Eclipse', which was written by Conor McPherson and Roche, is based on the story 'Table Manners' from the collection 'Tales From Rainwater Pond'.

The gala premiere doubled as a fundraising event for a Mosshouse production of the Billy Roche play 'Lay Me Down Softly which is currently in rehearsal and will be presented at the Arts Centre from October 12 to 23.

The event began with a wine reception sponsored by Greenacres and the film screening was followed by a panel discussion chaired by Tom Mooney and featuring Billy Roche and the Hollywoodbased Irish actor Michael O'Hagan. Wexford-born actor Anthony Morris was also in attendance.
