Gerard Murphy Memorial Vintage Run

The Gerard Murphy Memorial Vintage run will take place in Ferns on Sunday, October 4.

Now in its fifth year the run will begin in Ferns at 11.30 a.m. continuing into Enniscorthy, Bunclody, Carnew, Gorey, Camolin and back to Ferns. In Ferns there will be a whole host of activities around the town including a display of vintage steam engines and tractors. There will also be the Barrow Boys Tractor Build, a craft fair, art displays, street entertainment, face painting, music and barbecue. There will also be prizes on the day for all who take part in the vintage run along with many other spot raffle prizes to be win. All proceeds raised on the day will go towards Console.

A night of cookery and comedy 

7 COMEDY AND COOKERY. Monaseed National School parents' association will host a fun evening of comedy and cooking in the Amber Springs Hotel on Wednesday night, February 8. On the night three local chefs, Eric Poole, Veronica Redmond and Ben Anderson, will take part in a cook off ably assisted by some local celebrities.
