Heritage week at Wexford Wildfowl Reserve

There are a number of events taking place at Wexford Wildfowl Reserve during Heritage Week from August 22 to gust 30.

On Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, here is a butterfly spotting event in the picnic area of the visitor centre from 2pm until 4pm.

On Tuesday, August 25 there is pond-dipping and bug-hunting in the Snipe Field Ardcavan from 2pm. There is a nature walk in the Raven Nature Reserve from 2pm on Thursday, August 27. On Friday there is a bat walk and walk at 8.30pm. Ring 076 1002664 or 087 2646433 for more information.

Song project in Kilmuckridge 

5 LOCAL SONG PROJECT: Traditional singer Aileen Lambert will facilitate a new project focusing on exploring local songs and unaccompanied traditional singing in Kilmuckridge. Starting this Wednesday, September 13 from 7.30 p.m. in Bridie Hammel's Pub this project will take place over the course of a number of weeks. Local songs such as the Tinneaberna Fisherman will be researched and performed as part of the project and at the end a booklet will be produced along with videos featuring local songs and local singers. 7 ANTIQUES FAIR: There will be a two day antiques fair in Wells House, Gorey this weekend.
