Lion King at Scoil Mhuire

It's showtime again in Scoil Mhuire Coolcotts and this year's production is the popular Broadway musical, The Lion King.

The show has become something of an annual school event. Every September, one of the first questions the new 6th classes ask is 'What show are we doing this year?' However, it's usually Christmas before the big announcement is made and script reading, auditions and rehearsals begin.

By June, the students are ready to wow the audiences, with up to 100 children on stage at any time and almost every member of staff dragged in to help.

The Lion King will be staged in the school tomorrow, Wednesday, June 22, June 23 and June 24 at 7.30pm.
