Maritime festival to take place on Quay

The 2015 Wexford Maritime Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and June 21, on Wexford Quay.

This year's festival has major new events that should attract the largest ever crowd to Wexford quay. The festival, now in its fourth year, is Ireland's largest maritime festival and attracts over 30,000 people to Wexford Quay.

On June 20 Rescue Saturday will highlight the skills of the emergency services in a search and rescue demonstration with aircraft and lifeboats and an Emergency Services Village where various organisations exhibit their units, gear and provide safety information.

On June 21 FunDay Sunday takes place with lots of free family fun. The festival concludes with the Commodore Barry Memorial Service at the Crescent, marking Wexford's most famous maritime son John Barry, father of the US Navy. This is expected to be the best festival yet.
