STAFF at Sam McCauley Chemists raised a staggering €21,209.86 for charity between September, 2015 and December, 2015.

This amount was raised through a number of events that were held by staff in their 28 stores nationwide, while also having collections at the till points.

Events included an in-store Spin Cycle Event, Pink Day and Christmas Gift Wrapping collection.

Cycle Against Suicide, The Marie Keating Foundation, Brain Tumour Ireland, The Simon Community and Diabetes Ireland are just some of the charities that benefited from the fundraising. There are also lots of local charities supported.

Sam McCauley Chemists said that as an Irish company, it is important to support local charities and promise to continue the fundraising into 2016.

This month, March 2016, their charity of the month is Childline ISPCC and once again the staff will be holding events in aid of this great cause.

The company said the amount raised would not have been possible 'without our loyal customers' and thanked all those who had helped.
