The annual Rosslare 10k road race takes place this Easter Monday in the village.

Now in its seventh year this is a very popular and regular fixture for all levels of runners and walkers. Organised by the Wexford Triathlon Club, Rosslare was the chosen route as this is where the Wexford Triathlon club first started out almost nine years ago. It's also a quiet location, especially with the morning start, with safe roads. The course is two laps of Rosslare Strand, starting in the village, looping out along the back roads, returning to the village, then out again for the second lap. The roads are mainly flat, with a couple of quick hills, just to make it interesting, and a fast downhill finish.

There will be chip timing, prizes, t-shirts for the first 250 entrants and plenty of tea, coffee and food at the finish line. Refreshments, tee-shirts and prizes are sponsored by Kelly's Hotel and Spa of Rosslare. The road race is also supported by Wexford Triathlon club member Fran Traynor and Carne Beach Caravan and Camping Park. Details for entry and prizes can be found on wextriclub.com, the Wexford Triathlon Facebook page and active.com.
