It was a celebration of community achievement in Taghmon as 30 deserving adult learners received certificates in Taghmon Family Resource Centre last week.

The recipients received certs for completing the QQI Level 3 Internet Skills course, Benefit 4 Basic Internet course or the Taghmon Men's Shed Community Woodcarving Programmes, all of which were organised by Taghmon FRC together with WWETB.

Their dedication to learning was emphasised on the day, as the Taghmon Men's Shed Woodcarving was put on display for the event. The three panel piece, entitled 'Parle, Creane and Hogan', involved over 2,500 of work by the men of Taghmon Men's Shed.

Everyone was congratulated on their achievements by Taghmon FRC Manager Mary O'Loughlin, while Anne Mc Donnell from the WWETB Community Education Programme thanked the community for their commitment to education and vibrant community spirit.

The event was scheduled as part of Aontas Adult Learners' Festival programme of events which took place nationwide last week.
