Top dancers 'Take the Floor'

Take the Floor, a spectacular Irish dance show, directed and produced by former Riverdance stars Paula Goulding and Shane McAvinchey, was performed to captivated Wexford audience in the Opera House.

Rehearsals for the show began in late July with subsequent performances taking place some ten days later in Limerick's, University Concert Hall , in Wexford's Opera House and in Derry's Millennium Forum.

The production has a cast of 60 top Irish dancers and aspiring professionals from around the world representing over 15 countries including Japan, Australia, Mexico, and Germany.

This is the third year of the Take the Floor touring dance show, which recruits talented Irish dancers from all over the world using social media sites and video submissions to provide the selected hopefuls with the opportunity of participating in a full scale Irish dance production.

An exciting addition this year saw Roisin Carlin, the winner of the Take The Floor Voice Search competition performing live on tour.
