ARD Aoibhinn, which provides day services for people with an intellectual disability and special needs from three locations in the Wexford town area, was presented with a cheque for €503 from parents who organised a walk recently for the service.

Ard Aoibhinn CEO Gerry Heaney said the walk was well attended, thanking the organisers for their support.

'It was organised in conjunction with a set of parents who have a child attending here. Fundraising is vital as we've had wage cuts of 5.75 per cent and funding cuts of 16 per cent over the past five years,' Mr Heaney said.
