The countdown is on to the Wexford Wanderers RFC dinner dance and awards night in the Talbot Hotel and tickets have been flying out the door.

The annual event will be held on Saturday April 9 at 7 p.m. Kicking off in the hotel bar for pre-dinner drinks, it will be followed by a meal, music and dancing into the early hours. Local band 'The Waxies' have been tasked with getting the crowd on their feet.

This year, the club will honour its most famous past player Gordon D'Arcy, who retired from rugby at the start of the season. It is hoped that as many parents, former players, supporters and friends will come along to the event to celebrate Wexford's rugby talent.

Tickets are €40 and can be booked by contacting Brian McGonigal on 087 774 4574, any member of the club committee or emailing wexfordwrfc@gmail.com. Alternatively tickets are also available on Saturday mornings at the clubhouse.
