Wexford's young swimmers made a splash in the Talbot when they received their certificates for swimming achievements at the Quay Leisure Centre.

At the recent ceremony, 204 children aged between four and 10 achieved grades ranging from Seal 3 to Marlon 10 in their swimming lessons which took place over two terms. Crowds of proud parents, siblings and relatives packed out the centre to celebrate the achievement with their loved ones.

Leisure Centre Manager Jennifer Dalton said: 'We are absolutely thrilled with the great turnout and thank you to all the children and their families for attending. We are looking forward to starting a new term in January and hope to have many more young swimmers at the Quay Leisure Centre.'

After the presentation, the children were treated to a celebratory hot chocolate with marshmallows.
