Wexford stars take to the pitch

Wexford stars will line out tonight (Tuesday) for a celebrity hurling match in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

Oylegate's Jim Bolger will pit a team against jockey Davy Russell in what is sure to be a fun filled clash of the ash

On the day, Dave Bernie and Wexford All-Ireland winning manager Liam Griffin will co-manage Jim Bolger's 'Stars', while Davy Russell's 'Best' will be managed by Kilkenny Hurling Manager Brian Cody.

The players on the day will include a mix of GAA and horse racing stars, including Damien Fitzhenry, Charlie Carter, James Dowling, Niall Quinn, DJ Carey and TJ Ryan to name but a few.

The action kicks off at St. Conleth's Park, Newbridge, Co. Kildare at 6.30pm on August 11th, with a penalty shoot-out at half time.
