Windmill fundraiser at Kelly's

A SPECIAL fundraising night for Windmill Therapeutic will take place at the La Marine Bistro at Kelly's Resort Hotel on Friday, May 27.

Run in conjunction with the Food and Wine Festival, which takes place from May 27 to 29, the fundraiser will begin with a Burgundy wine tasting followed by a special dinner with complementing wines. Every euro and cent from the €70 a head dinner will go directly to Windmill's New Garden Project.

Located on Larkins Lane, South Main Street, Windmill creates a safe environment which is conclusive to achieving the best possible training programme, meeting social needs of those adults in our community with mild/moderate intellectual disabilities.

The new garden will create a vital addition in achieving these objectives. The space for the new garden has been kindly provided by the Pettitt Family.

Numbers for the dinner, which starts at 7 p.m., are limited to 70 persons, first come first served.

Song project in Kilmuckridge 

5 LOCAL SONG PROJECT: Traditional singer Aileen Lambert will facilitate a new project focusing on exploring local songs and unaccompanied traditional singing in Kilmuckridge. Starting this Wednesday, September 13 from 7.30 p.m. in Bridie Hammel's Pub this project will take place over the course of a number of weeks.
