X-Factor's Mary Byrne in Wexford concert with ladies choir

WEXFORD Ladies Choir and some special guests are to stage a concert at the Friary in Wexford at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 12.

The line-up includes Mary Byrne, of X-Factor fame, Anthony Nolan and The Silvertones. Musical director is Nicholas Clancy with Eanna McKenna as accompianist.

Mary Byrne shot to prominence in the 2010 X-Factor, going out in the semi-final. Mentored by Louis Walsh, her fellow artists included One Direction and Matt Cardle. In 2011, she performed before Queen Elizabeth during her state visit to Ireland and shared a stage with Neil Diamond, performing before 55,000 people at the Aviva Stadium.

Compered by Alan Corcorcan, tickets for what promises to be a memorable evening are €10 each.
