Many thanks to all those involved in organising the children's Christmas party in the clubhouse which was a great success on Sunday. Even Santa took some time out from his busy schedule to pay a visit, and the children had a great time.

We are delighted to welcome the 'Wexford People' on board as main sponsors for the second annual Wexford Has Talent which offers a top prize of €2,000.

Online registration is now open for competitors to enter on www.wexfordhastalent.com. It's free to enter so why not give it a go?

The open auditions on January 9 and 10 are available for acts to arrive and register on the day, while those who register online in advance can reserve an audition time.

From this audition process, a shortlist of between 24 and 30 acts will go forward to take part in the live audience semi-finals at Clayton Whites of Wexford on January 16 and January 23.

Twelve of these acts will make the finalist list to perform in front of a live audience at the Wexford Has Talent Grand Final on Saturday, January 30, at Clayton Whites of Wexford.

We are selling national club draw tickets as a fundraiser for the club. Tickets are €10 and all proceeds go directly to the club. We are asking that all club members purchase at least one ticket. Please contact a member of the committee if you are interested in purchasing a ticket.

The winning lotto numbers on November 30 were 3, 13, 19 and 27, with no jackpot winner.

ST. MARY'S (ROSSLARE)

There was no winner and no match three winners of last week's lotto for a €5,300 jackpot. Numbers drawn were 1, 8, 28, 29 and bonus 38.

SHELMALIERS

The Under-21 footballers gave up their attempt to make it three-in-a-row of county titles when they went down on a score line of 3-7 to 2-8 to Starlights in a wet and windy Bellefield on Friday night.

The visitors were quickly off the mark with points from Liam Rockett and Kevin O'Connor, and with the assistance of a strong wind the Shelmalier men extended their lead with further points from Colin Cleary and Kevin O'Connor.

There was great delight for the visiting supporters when Jody Donohoe fired to the roof of the Starlights net in the 20th minute. Kevin O'Connor and Colin Cleary completed their side's scoring in the first-half to leave a half-time score of Shelmaliers 1-7, Starlights 1-3.

The home side came out very strongly on the resumption with the assistance of the wind and the sides were soon level (1-7 to 2-4).

A Liam Rockett goal in the 16th minute gave great encouragement to the Shelmaliers, however, the Starlights proved the stronger in the final quarter to win by 3-7 to 2-8.

There was no winner of the Shelmalier development lotto on Monday, November 30, when the numbers drawn were 7, 19, 23 and 31 and the jackpot stood at €10,800. There was one lucky winner of match three and that was Bobby Delaney who won €200 in time for Christmas.

TAGHMON-CAMROSS

The G.A.A. club lotto jackpot wasn't won last week. The numbers were 11, 17, 18 and 28 and there were four match threes: Billy Clarke, c/o Declan Clarke; Laurence Banville, Shanoule; Brian Wallace, Wellingtonbridge, and Garvan Kelly, Tomcoole.

Next week's jackpot will be €10,700 and the draw will be in Grantstown on December 15.

Our club development draw was launched at our A.G.M. last Friday night. First prize will be €5,000 with numerous other prizes. Tickets are €10 each or three for €20.

There is still no fixture for the Under-21 football semi-final. The earliest will be December 19 or during the Christmas break.
