All roads lead to Nenagh in Tipperary for the Bunclody Under-14 camogie players who will represent Wexford in the All-Ireland Féile na nGael competition in June.
The girls won the honour of representing the county by winning the Slaney Festival competition held on the Bank holiday Monday in Piercestown and Monamolin, with the final on Tuesday in St. Patrick's Park, Enniscorthy.
They came out top of their group, having played St. Martin's, Cloughbawn and Duffry Rovers to face near neighbours Kilrush in the semi-final.
Bunclody edged out in front in the first-half and managed to stay ahead of a determined Kilrush side until the final whistle.
Glynn-Barntown, who had won the semi-final from the Monamolin groups by beating Castletown, provided the opposition for the final on Tuesday.
Both teams played their hearts out in a hard-fought battle that had all the elements of a great camogie match. The excellent skills of both teams were only matched by their determination and perseverance, with Bunclody winning by 4-6 to 1-2.
Bunclody were the better team and were deserved winners, but you can be sure these two teams will cross paths again later in the year!
