WEXFORD COACHING and Games will be hosting two meetings this week for parents of players who were involved in the Model Academy G.A.A. teams at Under-14 and Under-15.
These will also be open to all clubs who wish to send a coach or representative.
The first meeting is in the Riverside Park Hotel at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, with the second in the Ferrycarraig Hotel at the same time on Wednesday, October 14.
The purpose of these nights is to launch the functional movement programme. Guests will include David Power (Wexford Senior football manager) and Liam Dunne (Wexford Senior hurling manager) as well as representatives from Wexford County Board.
The aim is to educate players and mentors on appropriate movements and corrective exercises to limit the risk or injury and improve overall mobility and strength. Over 300 players are due to begin screening on October 27.
Details of all the dates and the academy squad programme will appear live on the Wexford G.A.A. website after the two meetings.
