Wexford were left heartbroken after Niamh McGrath's '45, almost six and a half minutes into added-time, gave Galway a one-point win in the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship semi-final.

Galway 1-14 Wexford 2-10

The Slaneysiders fought back from being 1-12 to 1-7 down with seven minutes of normal time to go to draw level with three Kate Kelly injury-time frees only for the Westerners to snatch victory with their late, late show.

Colm McGee's side slipped 1-6 to 0-4 behind in the first half following Molly Dunne's 24th minute goal. Crucially, Wexford hit back almost immediately when Katrina Parrock's long ball into the danger-area evaded Stacey Kehoe's hurl, and the Galway defence, and nestled in the net.

The deficit was 1-8 to 1-4 at the interval and that swelled further in the second half. Yet, Wexford were much better after the break and went close when Stacey Kehoe hit the side-netting and Una Sinnott clattered the crossbar.

Stacey Kehoe did get her goal with seven minutes left, she rattled a superb crossfield ball by Ursula Jacob past Susan Earner to the Galway net but in the end it wasn't enough as McGrath shot her side to Croke Park.
