Holders St. Anne's made it four wins from four Tom Doyle Supplies Senior football championship Group A outings when they hit the last five points to overcome Adamstown by 1-10 to 2-4 in Innovate Wexford Park on Saturday, August 8.

The saints led by 1-5 to 1-3 at the break after Aidan Rochford responded to an early Adamstown goal from Barry Power.

However, they found themselves 2-4 to 1-5 in arrears after Conor Hickey converted a penalty in the 44th minute. Adamstown didn't score again though, with Sean Gaul (3), Liam Og McGovern and Diarmuid O'Keeffe steering St. Anne's home.

Meanwhile, Ryan Mahon converted a free five minutes into added time to earn Starlights a 0-14 to 1-11 draw with Gusserane who had led by 1-7 to 0-5 at half-time after a Ken Cahill goal.

The outcome leaves the teams with five points apiece after the penultimate round of Group B games.
