The Wexford Senior hurlers stayed on course for a place in the Bord na Móna Walsh Cup semi-finals with their second successive Group 3 win over Meath in Páirc Tailteann, Navan, on Sunday.

Wexford 3-18 Meath 2-7

The 3-18 to 2-7 victory means that the Slaneysiders will travel to Netwatch Cullen Park to face Carlow next weekend in pole position to advance.

They led by 0-12 to 1-4 at half-time, with only the heroics of Meath netminder Shane McGann preventing three goals.

However, the green flags were raised in the second period, courtesy of Ian Byrne (penalty), Harry Kehoe and Barry Carton as Wexford coasted home.
