The Ladies' Gaelic Football Association is inviting anyone interested in reaching the top as a referee to take their first steps on the path to success.

The National Referee Accelerate Programme is welcoming referees with a minimum of five years of experience as a referee to apply for a place on this intensive course.

The course consists of five modules which focus on technical, physical, mental and tactical development as well as offering plenty of support and advice.

Referees attending all days of the course and completing and passing all modules and assessments will then qualify as a national referee where they will then be available to take charge of matches at the top level and possibly reach Croke Park some day.

Applications to enrol in the course are now being accepted, with applications to be forwarded to by Friday, July 1.

On that same day, the Wexford Ladies' Gaelic Football Board is holding its annual golf classic at the Enniscorthy club.

Officers are asking all clubs to support this fundraising event. Please contact Denis Nolan on 086-8111878 to enter a team.
