Wexford slipped to their third consecutive loss in the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship against Laois in Wexford Park on Saturday afternoon.

Laois 2-12 Wexford 1-8

The Slaneysiders, playing with the breeze in the opening half, made a blistering start with a goal inside eight minutes from Joanne Dillon. However, Laois settled and, with majors from Elizabeth Ryan and Joan Dollard, pulled within a point at the interval (1-7 to 2-3).

Wexford could muster just a lone Margaret Byrne point in the second half. At the other end Sarah Ann Fitzgerald brought her tally to seven for the afternoon as her Laois side eased out to a seven point win.
