Loreto got hit by a Presentation Tuam juggernaut in the final quarter as the Wexford school bowed out of the Lidl Post Primary All Ireland Junior 'B' Ladies football championship at the semi-final stage in Mountmellick on Saturday afternoon.

Presentation Tuam 4-9 Loreto Wexford 3-8

Trailing 3-6 to 1-4 with just fifteen minutes remaining, the Galway girls scored the next 2-5 without reply, in a twelve minute spell, to take control of the tie and book their All Ireland final place.

Rachel Bennett had fired the Wexford school ahead early only for Tuam to hit back. Loreto always looked dangerous on the counter-attack and, after Bennett goaled again late in the half, they went in 2-2 to 1-3 ahead at the interval.

With Emily Coakley pulling the strings and scoring the third goal, Loreto raced into an eight point lead heading into the final quarter but on a heavy pitch, after giving it their all, the legs became leaden and Presentation Tuam pulled away.
