THERE WILL be an Over The Water derby in next weekend's Greenstar Under-21 football Premier championship final after holders Crossabeg-Ballymurn overcame Forth and Bargy Gaels by 2-11 to 1-5 on home soil on Saturday.

The sides were level midway through the second-half, but goals from Conor Maddock and Robert Byrne ensured a mouth-watering clash in the decider with neighbours Shelmaliers who captured the title in 2014.

Meanwhile, Réalt na Mara have a Greenstar Under-21 football Roinn 1 championship final appearance to look forward to after surviving a two-month plus lay-off since their Gorey District title win to defeat Oylegate-Glenbrien by 1-6 to 1-2 in St. Patrick's Park.

They will learn their opponents next weekend when Sarsfields take on Gusserane who captured a first New Ross District crown since their county title-winning year of 2013 in a dramatic finish on home soil.

The game looked to be heading for extra-time until Sam Wall crashed home a goal with the second-last kick to break Rathgarogue-Cushinstown's hearts on a 4-8 to 1-14 scoreline.
