Plans finalised for annual Foley Cup

All is in readiness for the eighth annual Michael Foley Cup Under-15 hurling development squad tournament which will take place in Wexford on Saturday, August 29.
The competition has been further bolstered by the addition of Meath for the first time, with 15 teams set to take part altogether.
Group 1 in Páirc Charman will feature Dublin South, Wexford South, Offaly, Laois and Kilkenny North, while Group 2 at the same venue will include Dublin North, Meath 1, Antrim, Wexford North and Kilkenny South.
Farmleigh is the venue for Group 3 with Kildare, Wicklow, Carlow, Meath 2 and Westmeath taking part.
The action will begin at 10.15 a.m., with the plate final featuring the top two teams in Group 3 in Farmleigh at 2.30 p.m.
The cup semi-finals involving the top two in Groups 1 and 2 will be played in Páirc Charman at 2.15 p.m., with the Shield decider at the same venue at 3.15 p.m.
The final proper is down for decision in Michael's home ground of Bellefield at 4 p.m. A very popular and dedicated former Rapparees and Wexford hurler, Michael's legacy is being carried on in fine style by his son, Kevin, who is a current county Senior and Under-21 attacker.
