Realt Na Mara 7-12, Davidstown-COurtnacuddy 0-5: Réalt na Mara were the dominant force as they went on a seven-goal spree to hand Davidstown-Courtnacuddy their second successive heavy defeat in this totally one-sided Joyces Expert Intermediate 'A' football championship Group A game at Monageer on Saturday, writes Brendan Furlong.

Having stormed into an 0-8 to 0-1 lead by the 25th minute when playing into the strong breeze, the eventual winners struck for a flurry of goals approaching the break through Jack Hobbs, Tom Sinnott, Stephen Redmond and Dylan Sweeney to lead by 4-9 to 0-2 at the interval.

The winners made a number of substitutions but it did not have any adverse impact on their control as they added further goals through Eddie Doyle, Seán O'Brien and Colm O'Loughlin to gain a second morale-boosting win for the side.
