St Martin's thumped Starlights in their second outing in this years Tom Doyle Supplies Senior Football championship in Taghmon on Sunday evening.

St Martin's 1-17 Starlights 1-2

The Piercestown based club were in unstoppable form as they scored nine times in each half to obliterate their opponents.

Starlights came into the game on the back of a positive performance in a shock win over Castletown but they has no answer for the swarming, attacking style of St Martin's.

Dathai Waters drove through to opening the scoring with a thumping goal in the fourth minute and five points from Ciaran Lyng saw the 2013 county champions into a 1-8 to 0-1 lead at the interval.

Nine more points followed in the third quarter as St Martin's extended the advantage to 1-17 to 0-1. Anthony Russell's quick free pulled a goal back for Starlights but it didn't improve a miserable afternoon for the Bellefield boys.
