Walsh suspension

St. James' club Chairman Noel Holohan has made contact with further information on one of the suspensions handed out after their abandoned All-County Hurling League game against Shelmaliers in Hollymount.

A six-month ban was imposed on Michael Walsh from the Ramsgrange outfit, but the matter is complicated slightly by the fact that there's actually two men of that name who are involved as mentors with the side!

Team manager Michael Walsh, who is also prominent as a mentor with various under-age teams within the club, was not suspended and carried out his duties as per usual on the sideline in Bellefield on Sunday when the saints beat Ballygarrett by a goal on their first-ever appearance in the Intermediate hurling grade.

The suspended Michael Walsh is a selector along with his namesake, but he had to sit this game out as a result of that six-month suspension.
