The 2016 team mentors' selection committee is up and running, with the committee comprising Kilian Duignan (087-6950382), John Harrington (086-4063608), Nicky Doyle (086-8390614) and Brian Furlong (087-7304887).
They are currently looking for nominations for managers/selectors for all teams. If you are interested in becoming involved with any team, please contact one of the above committee members.
Well done to the aptly-named 'Best Team Ever' on winning the first Sarsfields fun quiz on Sunday night. The team comprised Darby Purcell, Eoin Doyle, Jack Corcoran and Charlie Hynes.
Well done to everyone who took part, and it is something we will look at running again in the new year. A big thank you to quiz master David Gannon, his sister Orlaith, and Philip Twomey who looked after proceedings, and to Nicky Doyle who supplied the winners' trophies.
Anyone interested in entering any of the other Scór na nOg categories should contact the club co-ordinator, David Gannon (086-3332845): figure dancing, solo singing, recitation/story-telling, instrumental music, stage presentation, ballad group, set dancing. All those under the age of 17 on January 1, 2016, are eligible.
Some other dates for your diary: Friday, November 13, Gaelscoil, annual Mass for deceased members at 7.30 p.m.; Friday, November 13, end-of-season social night in Kelly's on the corner; Sunday, December 6, Christmas fun for Under-6s to Under-10s in the clubhouse from 4 to 6 p.m. with Santa the main man on the guest list.
The winning lotto numbers on November 9 were 2, 14, 24 and 30.
Well done to our Junior hurling team over the weekend, beating Shelmaliers by 3-16 to 2-6 to capture the county title for the fourth time. A big word of thanks to all the panel of players and the management team.
The club lotto jackpot wasn't won last week. The four match three winners were Justin Kelly, Castlehaystown, Ruth Colfer, Assagart, Deirdre B. Hannon, Killarney, and Noel Quigley, c/o Tír na nOg. Next week's jackpot will be €10,100.
Our Under-21 footballers play Horeswood next Saturday at 6.30 p.m. in Horeswood in the District semi-final.
The Taghmon-Camross G.A.A. breakfast morning takes place on this Sunday, November 15, between 9 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. Please come on down for a mug of tea and hearty breakfast.
Hard luck to the Under-21 footballers who lost to Ballygarrett on Saturday night by three points.
A date for your diary - the club A.G.M. for all codes takes place in the complex on Friday, November 27, at 7.30 p.m. It is asked that all club members attend to reflect on the successes of 2015 and look forward to what 2016 brings.
