It was all too comfortable for Wexford in St Patrick's Park on Sunday afternoon last as they brushed aside a barely there Offaly outfit in Division 3 of the Lidl Ladies National Football League.

Wexford 6-12 Offaly 3-9

With just fifteen players to choose from the visitors were never likely to win the game, but with the likes of Aoife Norris, Roisin Egan and the exceptional Mairéad Daly in their ranks, they still need to be watched.

Yet, the game was over as a contest in seven minutes as a hat-trick from Chantelle Martin and a Bernie Breen major gave Wexford a four goal lead. Offaly actually matched their hosts for the remainder of the half with officially just eleven between the sides at the break.

Two more majors in the third quarter, with Martin notching her fourth before setting up Aisling Murphy for Wexford's sixth, increased the lead further. Offaly rallied with a Daly double late on but the result was never in doubt. Anthony Masterson's side are next in action on March 19th when they host Limerick.
