Wexford are through to the Leinster Junior football championship final after three second-half goals from Kevin Rowe downed Longford in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Wednesday, June 10.

Wexford 3-11 Longford 0-12

The Fethard full-forward struck in the 39th, 44th and 61st minutes to leave the Slaneysiders looking forward to a clash with Meath who pipped Louth by a point after a late comeback in Drogheda.

Wexford had led by 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time thanks mainly to the accuracy of wing-forward Niall Harney who hit three sublime points from placed balls as well as a brace from play.

Manager David Power will be hoping this was the start of a good five days for Wexford football as the focus now switches to Sunday's Senior clash with Westmeath in Cusack Park, Mullingar.
