Wexford took their sixth Leinster Senior Camogie Championship title in seven seasons with an uncomplicated victory over Offaly in Aughrim on Sunday afternoon.

Wexford 2-19 Offaly 1-9

Neither side was particularly impressive when they met in the final round of the league in March but the Slaneysiders look to have made big strides since then, putting in their second quality performance in a row.

Three points each from the Una's, Leacy and Sinnott, helped Wexford into an 0-11 to 0-1 lead after 28 minutes.

Offaly pulled one back through Siobhan Flannery but Leacy made them pay for slack defending before the interval with a composed shot past Eleanor Clendennen. Leading 1-11 to 0-2 at the break, Wexford inflicted further damage in the third quarter.

Kate Kelly pulled home the second goal in the 36th minute which, at the time, left her side seventeen points ahead.

The champions eased off the gas in the final quarter and Offaly made the score a little more respectable but there was no denying Shauna Sinnott the opportunity to collect the silverware on behalf of her side at full-time.
