BENFICA KEPT alive their chances of at least runners-up spot in the Premier Division when proving too good for an understrength Glen Celtic side who have serious relegation worries after this defeat.
The Waterford side ran out 7-0 winners with goals coming from Linda Douglas with two, Keely Klaydon and Beserta Arjeti with one each, and a hattrick from Cherelle Kessei.
Kilmore got back to winning ways after three defeats on the trot but only overcame bottom club All Blacks 2-1, with Tina Colloton scoring for the visitors and Sadie and Sonja Murphy replying for the home side.
Curracloe and North End shared the points in a 1-1 draw that did neither of them much good in their battle against relegation, with Rianna Jarrett scoring for North End and Rachel Moran hitting back for Curracloe.
