CARNEW ARE into the semi-finals of the Etchingham Cup after proving too strong for a battling Cloughbawn side.
Nicole Kavanagh and Fiona Byrne scored two each, with Noreen Lambert and Fiona Dagge adding one apiece in a 6-0 win.
This result went along expected lines bearing in mind the standings of the competing teams in the Division 2B of the league.
Carnew are in a mid-table position with 13 points from eleven games played, thanks to four wins and one draw.
In contrast, Cloughbawn are firmly rooted to the bottom with just one win from their nine encounters.
