Coiste to take over Minor sides again

COISTE NA nÓg will take over the inter-county Minor hurling and football sides from 2011.
County Chairman, Ger Doyle, announced the decision at last Tuesday night's meeting of the County G.A.A. Board.
He also announced that Coiste na nÓg will have the full backing of the Management committee for the running of eleven-a-side games at Under-12 level for 2010.
Meanwhile, fears over trustees' reponsibilites were allayed as they will remain the same as previous years.
When the matter was raised by Clonard delegate, Dave Ormonde, the meeting was informed by Joe O'Shaughnessy that it is being looked into, with meetings arranged with the banks.
At the moment the trustees' responsibility stand the same. One particular bank raised the issue wanting to make trustees responsible.
'We are meeting with the banks but there is no change at present,' O'Shaughnessy informed the meeting.
