Defeat in friendly
THE UNDER-17s travelled to Waterpark on Saturday morning last for a friendly which was a very useful exercise as it gave an opportunity to many fringe players to get some game time.
It was a close affair, with Wexford defending for the majority of the first-half. However, a Jordan Ryan try opened the scoring for Wexford.
Waterpark bounced back with a try which when converted gave them a 7-5 half-time lead. A further try by Waterpark extended their lead to 125 and they were in the driving seat.
A Dylan Joyce-Ahearne try for Wanderers narrowed that gap to 12-10, but that is the way it remained at the final whistle.
