THE FOUR semi-finalists in the Tommy Murphy Cup (New Ross District Senior football tournament) are Bannow-Ballymitty, Clongeen, Fethard and Adamstown.
The quarter-finals were decided on Saturday afternoon last when Bannow-Ballymitty defeated Gusserane by a point on a score of 1-8 to 0-10 in a cracker of a match played at Grantstown.
Clongeen, on their home ground at Ballybore, had five points to spare (2-13 to 2-8) over the county champions, Horeswood.
Fethard had a big win at home to Geraldine O'Hanrahans by 6-8 to 0-5, while Adamstown had a 3-10 to 1-7 victory over St. James' at Newbawn.
The competition will be put on hold for the moment as the All-County Leagues are starting next weekend.
