Tombrack and Shelburne share eight goals

Wednesday March 17 2010

TOMBRACK AND Shelbourne played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in Tombrack on Saturday morning last in the second round of the Under-14 Cup before the home side progressed through on penalties.

Two goals from Gina Foley and one each from Kate Cullen and Carol Cummins saw Shelbourne always in front, but two goals apiece from Kellie Murphy and Georgina Creane kept Tombrack in touch and they did enough to go through in the penalty shoot-out.

Ferns travelled to Duncannon in the quarter-final and ensured their place in the last four with a 3-0 win, while Adamstown v. Tramore was changed to Tuesday evening.

In Division 1, St. Cormac's closed the gap on Kilmore with a 4-0 win at home to Bree United. Amy Walsh scored a hat-trick with Michelle Gahan also on target to move second.

North End moved back top of Division 2A when overcoming Campile United 4-1, with Danielle Kehoe scoring twice and Jessica Beary and Zoe Doyle also on target. Sinéad Ryan replied for Campile.

In Division 2B, Courtown Hibs and Forth Celtic sit on top after they had to settle for a point each in a scoreless draw.
