Wexford display true grit to salvage point
IT'S NOT too often that a draw leaves a spring in the step, but that was a feeling shared by all Wexford followers in Cusack Park, Ennis, on Sunday last at the end of a pulsating Allianz Hurling League Division 2 clash which saw the visitors deny Clare victory with a rousing comeback.
Tough step-up for Wexford
THE STEP-UP from 'B' to 'A' proved too much for Wexford as they went down to a big defeat to Dublin in the first round of the AllIreland Under-16 camogie championship in Monamolin on Saturday last. All is not lost for last year's 'B' winners, although it won't get any easier with games to come against Kilkenny and Galway.

Strategic Plan blasted
ELEMENTS OF the Wexford G.A.A. Strategic Plan came in for some sharp criticism when launched at the monthly meeting of the County Board in the Ferrycarrig Hotel on Tuesday night of last week. The 41-page five-year-plan, described as one of the most important documents for the G.A.A. in the county for many years, was given a rather haphazard introduction despite its supposed importance as outlined at meetings over the past six months.
