Good Counsel crash out
GOOD COUNSEL College ( New Ross) made their exit from the Leinster Senior hurling 'A' championship when they went under to Kilkenny C.B.S. by a six-point margin in their quarter-final game played in dull and damp conditions at Thomastown on Saturday last.
The winners' semi-final will be against St. Peter's on Saturday week at a venue to be decided, the latter having defeated St. Brendan's of Birr.
Scores from play were few and far between in a rather scrappy game that was never better than mediocre due in part at least to the heavy underfoot conditions.
