Seniors begin league on Sunday

THE WEXFORD Intermediate camogie team will be playing Down on Saturday next at a half-way venue to be announced in the Division 2 League, while the Wexford Senior team will be hosting Dublin in the first round of the Division 1 League on Sunday next in Monamolin at 2 p.m.
Having only lost two stalwarts from the Senior panel, namely Rose-Marie Breen and Michelle Hearne, J.J. Doyle and his selectors have a full panel to choose from with no injury worries.
They have been training hard since early January under the watchful eye of Gerry McQuaid, and the girls are putting in a tremendous effort. Una Leacy has been appointed captain, with Áine Codd as vice-captain.
Congratulations to Ursula Jacob and Katrina Parrock who were on the winning W.I.T. team which won the Ashbourne Cup last weekend and picked up Ashbourne All Star awards, hopefully a good omen for the coming season.
