Horse racing continues at Bettyville in Wexford this Wednesday evening with the first in an attractive seven-race all-National Hunt card off at 5.50 p.m.

The entire meeting is sponsored by online betting company, 188BET, and the €86,000 on offer should see some of the best summer jumpers in attendance.

The action begins with The Royal Ascot Extra Places At 188BET Maiden Hurdle of €10,500 over two and half miles, followed at 6.20 p.m. by the €10.500 three-mile €25 Free Bet At 188BET Maiden Hurdle.

The hurdles feature of the evening, with €17,000 to be won, is the 188BET.co.uk Handicap Hurdle over two miles and it gets the white flag at 6.50 p.m. The Free Spins At 188BET Casino Handicap Hurdle of €9,500 follows at 7.20 p.m., over two miles, two furlongs.

Action in the next two races switches to the big steeplechase fences, the Euro 2016 Betting At 188BET Mares' Beginners' chase of €11,500 over two miles going off at 7.50 p.m., followed half an hour later by the 188BET Handicap chase, for horses rated up to 123, over two miles for a healthy purse of €16,500.

The meeting finishes with the traditional bumper flat race over two miles, this one being the Mobile Betting At 188BET EBF event for mares with €10,500 on offer.

Given any sort of reasonable weather, this should be a good night of racing at the attractive Bettyville venue, with the final two obstacles on each circuit being located in front of the stands, allowing punters to get right close-up to the action.

The remaining fixtures at Wexford for this season, all national hunt meetings, are: the evening of Friday, July 1; the evening of Friday, July 22; the Wexford Festival fixture on the October Bank holiday on the afternoons of Saturday 29 and Monday 31, and finally, Tuesday afternoon, November 22.

There is a three-month gap in the programme from mid-July to the end of October because of the decision to end flat racing at the Wexford venue, with two meetings being lost, but it is expected these two meetings will be replaced by jumps fixtures next year.
