THE GIRLS' Under-13 futsal county finals were held at Curracloe United A.F.C. grounds recently. It was very disappointing to see just three teams compete, two from the local CastlebridgeCrossabeg Area and Rathangan.

Castlebridge-crossabeg A team beat Rathangan 6-1 in the semi-final with goals from Sinéad Ronan-john, Sarah Harding-kenny, Ailis Neville (two), Fiona Kinsella and an own goal. Orla Brennan got the consolation goal but Sadbh Mccarthy was outstanding between the posts for the winners.

Castlebridge-crossabeg A team then met their friends from the B team in the final and won 10-4. Sinéad Ronan-john (four), Sarah Harding-kenny (three), Mikaela Lanigan (two)and Ailis Neville were on target, with the B team replying through Hazel Mythen (two), Abbie Devereux and Caitríona Kinsella.
