Earle and Molloy the top pair

The Tommy Owens open doubles horseshoes tournament was held a few weeks ago in Ferns.

Brendan Earle (Monageer) and Peter Molloy (McCrea's) beat Paddy Connors (Woodsmen) and Gavin Collier (Doran's Bridge) in the final 21-13.

The Paddy Owens open doubles will be held in the league field in Ferns on Monday, June 20, at 6.30 p.m.

Hopefully there will be a big turn-out, as thus far not all tournaments have been well supported. Hopefully as many people as possible can make it.

Michael Redmond recently resigned as County Board P.R.O. We'd like to thank him for his contributions. John Joe Byrne will take over his duties, effective immediately, so with any horseshoe news please contact John Joe on 087-2127095.

The Leinster League team event has been cancelled due to lack of interest. A doubles tournament may be run later on instead, so watch this space.
