The Curracloe open doubles took place on Sunday.

John Giltrap (Woodsmen) and Mikey Sunderland Jnr. (Killenagh) beat Mark Sludds (Monart) and Nigel Toole (Vinegar Hill) in a best out of three final, winning two straight games.

Congratulations to Giltrap and Sunderland! A big thanks to the Curracloe Tavern for the food and refreshments afterwards. Thanks to everyone who took part.

With three rounds to go in the Wexford league the tables look as follows -

Division 1: The Woodsmen, 29 points; Doran's Bridge 'A', 22 points; Monart 'A', 16 points.

Division 2: The Ballagh, 17 points; Vinegar Hill, 16 points; Monart 'B', 12 points; Curracloe, ten points; Doran's Bridge 'B', six points.

Division 2 is very close as both Monart 'B' and Curracloe have a game in hand so it should go down to the wire.

The Paddy Owens open doubles tournament will be held in Páirc Mhuire, Ferns on Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m.

The All-Ireland singles and doubles as well as the All-Ireland ringers will take place in Tegral, Athy on Saturday, August 29.
