The ladies had a famous win over last year's semi-finalists, New Ross.
We got off to a great start, taking the first game, but New Ross hit back, winning the second on the 18th and going one up by winning the fourth on the 17th.
The fifth game went to the 17th, where St. Helen's squared the match.
Everything hinged on the third game, and what a finish; one down playing the 18th, where St. Helen's sank a putt to level the game.
And so to the 19th. The two New Ross ladies were on the green in three when Jean hit a great ball to ten feet with her third.
It looked all set to be decided by the best stroke on the green when Susan took her shot from 70 yards.
Perfect contact, hop, run and in the hole - eagle! Game over, what a win. Well done Aine, Nora, Paula, Margie, Jean, Eileen, Joanne, Ann B., Susan E. and Susan S.
